In Cincinnati, family-run Italian places are busiest on weekend evenings and around holidays, when reservations or call-ahead seating are worth it. BYOB is common at smaller restaurants in some states, with a modest corkage fee or none at all; the listing or a quick call will tell you. Wing-and-pizza shops across Ohio do most of their business by delivery and price wings by the piece or in fixed counts, with sauce heat adjustable on request. Catering trays, party pizzas and sheet pies need a day's notice at most places, and more around big game days.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 5β8:30 pm. It is closed on Monday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (513) 321-2710. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, al-posto.com.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 315 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded italian restaurants in Cincinnati.
Cincinnati is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Cincinnati follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This place was outstanding! The food was some of the best Italian food I've had. Easily goes toe to toe with Pepp & Dolores, perhaps better. I ordered off their vegan menu, which is available upon request (see the included photo). The mushroom pasta I got was absolutely delicious. I was a little wary of a pasta with an oil based sauce, after having some pretty bland and frankly bad pasta off the vegan menu at Sotto a few months back. I nearly ordered the pomodoro pasta to play it safe, but I'm glad I didnt. The noodles were so well seasoned, and the mushrooms were generous in quantity and perfectly prepared. Mushrooms can be a little hit or miss I think, and these were a home run. I also ordered the fingerling potatoes which were pretty tasty. They had a really nice refreshing herb profile, something I hadn't tasted before. I also ordered some drink that was a non-alcoholic lemonade-tea mixture of some sort. It was really unique, the flavor profile was unlike any drink I'd had before, but it was really good. And lastly the sorbet was perfect. Not too sweet, just right. Like the rest of the meal I'd call it very refreshing. My partner got the blackberry tart and they greatly enjoyed

First-time experience at Al-Posto Italian Restaurant did not disappoint. The restaurant is housed inside the old 1922 Hyde Park Savings Bank and features an unmistakable blue door that immediately catches your eye. The interior is beautiful, and theyβve preserved the original vault and thereβs even seating inside it, which adds so much character. This spot had been on our list for a while, mainly because I wanted to try a place that serves pasta inside a Parmesan wheel (which they do for the Cacio e Pepe for Two). Since it was our first visit, we started with the Arancini, filled with mozzarella and served with pomodoro sauce and parsley, along with Nonnaβs Meatballs, made with beef and pork ragΓΉ, parsley, and Parmigiano Reggiano. Both were absolutely to die for. The arancini were light, with a sauce that had a nice kick, while the meatballs had a pleasant spice that paired perfectly with the rich ragΓΉ. Highly recommend both. We both ordered the same cocktail, the Calliope, made with blanco tequila, Aperol (an Italian aperitivo thatβs citrus-forward and lightly herbal), Italicus (Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto, a premium Italian floral and citrus aperitivo liqueur), and lemon.

My husband and I went here for my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. The staff was very attentive without being annoying. The table next to us had the table side cacio e pipe and it smelled and looked amazing. I had the cacio e pepe and my husband had the short rib lasagna. My pasta was perfectly al dente, cheesy, and peppery. My husband's lasagna was so perfectly cooked a knife was not needed. Since it was my birthday I received a free scoop of vanilla Gelato. The Gelato tasted like a rich, birthday cake and was so flavorful. I would definitely recommend if you want rich, flavorful Italian dinner.

The food is delectable. The burratta, the meatballs, cacio e peppe, seafood linguini, spaghetti and meatballs... every single thing was amazing. The service was super friendly and attentive, Bryson is the best! The atmosphere was relaxing and vibrant. Couldn't ask for anything else. Phenomenal experience overall, can't wait to go back.

Al-Posto was the perfect place to celebrate my friendβs 30th birthday with a group of 14! From the moment we walked in, the service was top notch. The hostess was welcoming and organized, and our servers Matt and Andrew took incredible care of us throughout the night. The food was absolutely incredible and the atmosphere is amazing. Itβs such a cool concept that the restaurant used to be a bank, and theyβve transformed it beautifully with elegant touches that make the space feel really special. We did bring in a birthday cake (there is a small fee), but the staff made it completely seamless. They took the cake right when we arrived, then brought it out at the end of dinner with candles and sliced and served it for everyone. Overall, the entire experience was fantastic. Great food, amazing service, and such a unique atmosphere. I canβt recommend Al-Posto enough!
